Big Business - Biz Bot Remixes 12” single (2009)

          Big Biz is one of my favorite bands, but I still felt a little cheated when this one arrived.  Two of their songs off of the Mind the Drift record given an electronic remix and pressed on a giant slab on 180gram vinyl.  The Drift got additional uncredited vocals (sounds like one of the tweak brothers of Bird) while Jared’s vocals got a robotic autotune kinda thing.  The Cats & Mice remix reminds me a lot of Mike Patton’s Fantomas.  Download them both for free here

          For the price I paid I was hoping for something cool from the packaging.  Other than the front cover and some etching on either side of records (A: ‘Scared of Jared and Coady since’ B: ‘Still not scared of Toshi since 1995’), It is just a huge and heavy records with 8 minutes of music on it.  Would of done better as a 7” at half the price, or a split with someone else over @ Hyrda Head records.
